Mayfest has never been about profit. It has always been about fun. It has been about enjoying the experience of live adventure role play for the lowest cost possible. It has been about including families, students, folk with low incomes and introducing new people to the sport/hobby.

To run Mayfest is Mayfest LARP, a club with a mission. That mission is to produce festivals that are affordable and fun for a wide range of people. This does not preclude Mayfest LARP from running adventures, moots, banquets or other special L. A. R. P. events but does insist they are run to the same aims and standards as the festivals.

Mayfest LARP is non profit making. Any excess of income over expenditure goes to obtain new equipment and props to ensure we keep up standards and keep the interest of our members. There is no fee to join the club. Every person who attends an event run by the club is a member by default. Membership has no obligations other than to comply with the rules of the events attended. Every member pays for the events they attend. It matters not what role people have in the running or organisation of the event they still pay under the same entry conditions as any other member.
