How to get to Mayfest and Augfest ------ |
X Tor started off as a hill fort near a stone ring in a grove. Docks and warehouses were built so supplies could be brought upriver from X Mouth. A hospitality roundhouse was built about the same time as Romans came, added brick and timber barracks and a small villa. A cattle market became a tradition to the south of the settlement more farms and soon it became a busy little town. 1 - the road to Credit Ton 2 - the road to Tiv Ton 3 - the New East Way that leads to Honey Ton and beyond. 4 - the X Mouth road 5 - the Sid's Mouth road 6 - the New Ton road that leads on to Port Polduu. 7 - A new high bridge built of Granite brought up from X Mouth. It is high enough for small ships to pass underneath! 8 - Potters Bend. The clay from the river here has been found ideal for pots and tiles. 9 - Lacy Lane. In fact there is no lace made here but weavers and tailors specialising in women's clothing . 10 - Market Hill. So called because all of the huts here are shops. 11 - Tanners Cross - Go here for good leather items, clothing and armour. 12 - Carpenters Row and Carvers Hill where woodworkers have gathered. 13 - the Hospitality Roundhouse where the rules of sanctity and peace are enforced. The villa has become a hotel and the hill fort an administration center with the larger roundhuts becoming guild houses. Not all of the buildings and streets are shown on this map and as the town is still expanding many old huts are being pulled down to make way for new buildings. Lord Flint is having a Fortified House built near the hospice and the Mages guild are looking for a place within the town to have a 'Universal Center of Magical Arts and Teaching!' The temple consists of chapels to most of the popular great spirits and is a hotbed of theological politics. |
